Bob the Builder

'Bob the Builder' is an attempt to find the middle ground between painting and sculpture. The recycled readymade bulk bags are a recurring medium in Parnas' works; they provide a strong yet fragile mass and bear a sincere history of labour. The bulk bags are painted in childlike fashion, as suitable for the children's TV star. The work invites the audience to consider the satirical aspect of art making and masculinity. "Can we fix it? Yes we can".
